After suffering their first loss of the Island Division Pod season your Clippers will look to rebound with a win against the Victoria Clippers tonight at 7 p.m. In their previous meeting the Clippers came from behind to win 4-3 on April 3rd.
The Clippers still lead the Island Division Pod with 6 points, followed by Cowichan with 5 points, Victoria with 4 points and Alberni with 3 points.
#28 Liam Ryan was asked how the team will respond to the loss and he said, “I am confident we will have a bounce back game. We have been having slow starts to our games and I think last night showed we have to play a full 60 minutes.”
When asked what it would take to win tonight, Liam remarked, “We are a skilled team but need to play with some more grit and heart. But no doubt, I’m confident we learned our lesson last night.”
The Clippers will be wearing Health Hero jerseys honouring COVID-19 front-line workers tonight. Recognizing the strain this past year has had on our front-line workers and the importance of mental health, the Clippers will be auctioning off these jerseys online with proceeds benefiting the Canadian Mental Health Association – Mid Island Branch.
