Our Spring Rascals Learn to Play Hockey Program features a fun environment where kids are challenged with games and drills. The players are placed in smaller groups on the ice with kids of a similar skill level so that everyone gains confidence. Not only do kids grow their hockey skills, but they also make tons of new friends, develop their social skills, grow confidence, and, of course, have a ton of fun.
This year we are accepting kids in that were born in 2009-2014. They will be split up in ice slots 2009-2010, 2011-2012 and 2013-14.
The program runs from April – June, primarily on weekends. With a cost of $285, which includes minimum 20 hours of ice time, a jersey and insurance covered under Hockey Canada. All ice sessions will be run by the Nanaimo Clippers’ Assistant Coach Ken McPhalen and with guest player appearances.
