The Clippers have put together a four game winning streak, including victories over Cowichan Valley, Powell River, and Alberni Valley last week.
Wednesday’s game against the Capitals was a tight 3-2 affair that ended on an overtime power play goal by Jake Harris.
Harris was also the hero Friday when the Clippers edged the Kings 2-1 in OT.
He scored another power play game winner in the extra session.
On Saturday Nanaimo traveled to Alberni Valley where they built up a 4-0 lead and earned a 4-1 victory.
Harris added another two goals in that game to earn the nod as the BCHL Player of the Week.
Goalie Taz Burman started the Powell River and Alberni Valley games and he was named a runner up for the Player of the Week Award.
This week Nanaimo travels to Prince George, Chilliwack, and Langley – three teams clustered at the top of the Mainland Division.
The Clippers beat Prince George 5-2 back in October and they’ll face a stiff test in PG where the Spruce Kings have only one regulation loss.
Nanaimo also has one victory already over the Chilliwack Chiefs, that was a 3-2 overtime win back at the BCHL Showcase.
The trip ends Sunday in Langley against a Rivermen team without a regulation loss at home.
Nanaimo has been victorious their last three times away from home this year however.
