CLIPPERS RECORD CHARACTER WIN 3-2 IN CHILLIWACK

The Clippers have a streak of eight games with at least one point after a 3-2 win in Chilliwack on Saturday.

The team is 6-0-0-2 since October 28th when the streak started in Powell River.

In Saturday’s victory Nanaimo was missing Vincent Millette and lost Preston Brodziak and Tristan Crozier to injury in the first period.

David Silye and Brady Lynn stepped up to lead the offense with Silye grabbing one goal and two assists and First Star honours, while Lynn had one goal and an assist and was named the Third Star.

Taz Burman was sharp in net in recording his seventh win of the season.

The Clippers starter leads the BCHL in goals against average and save percentage.

Nanaimo has points in five straight road games with a 4-0-0-1 record as they head into Langley on Sunday afternoon.

Saturday’s impressive performance in Chilliwack leaves the team knocking on the door for first place in the Island Division.

Powell River leads the way with 30 points but both Nanaimo and Victoria are tied for second spot with 29 points each.
