CLIPPERS BLANK BULLDOGS 4-0, HAVE POINTS IN 11 STRAIGHT

A 31 save shutout from Noah Featherstonhaugh Gowe highlighted the Clippers 4-0 win over the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Saturday.
It was the first goose egg in the BCHL for the Clippers backup goalie.
Nanaimo’s power play was also working with Jordan Wharrie scoring on a first period five on three.
Brady Lynn converted a play that featured some nifty stick handling from David Silye in the second period.
The Clippers power play added two more goals against John Hawthorne in the third.
First it was the first career BCHL goal for Collin Heinold and then Jack MacNab snapped home a cross crease pass from Brad Belisle.
Nanaimo outshot Alberni Valley 38-31 and the Clippers won the special teams battle by going 3/9 on the man advantage and 5/5 on the penalty kill.
Nanaimo is 7-0-1-3 in their last 11 games, and they have a 4-1 record against the Bulldogs this season.
